2. Old mattresses, sofa-sleeper nearly falling apart, dirty showers, the icemaker in the refrigerator didn't work, bad smells, horribly dated and worn out decor, etc.

3. The pillows were horrible, they were really thick and hard so if you sleep on two pillows normally just one is enough.
