2. Overall, we were not disappointed in our stay at the Dolphin Bay hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hilo, however, looking back we would have preferred staying in Kona a little longer, or moving onto Volcano instead, as we found the atmosphere in Hilo left a little to be desired.

3. But, if you want clean, comfortable accomodations, a jungle with fresh papayas, bananas, avocados, limes, lemons, and oranges right outside your door and the friendliest hosts you could ever meet, then Dolphin Bay will not disappoint.

6. John was very knowlegable and got an island map out explaining the best places to visit, as we didnt have a car he was also able to tell us about small coach trips with Arnotts Lodge and helicopter rides over the lava flows we went with his recommendations and were not disappointed .
