1. Now, after staying there I'm very glad I did and frankly cannot understand the negative reviews.

2. I booked the visit before looking at the TripAdvisor reviews (since I'd been there before) then later saw some of the negative reviews.

3. The only negatives were outside the control of the Polynesian -- a cold morning when the monorail didn't run well; a slow-arriving bus; and a very crowded parking lot (but after I'd nearly given up, they showed me a secondary lot where I was able to park).

4. Our balcony looked out over the gardens which was not a spectacular view - but it did not negatively impact our stay.

5. The location-convenience is not enough to override the negative aspects of my current room, the cost per night of this room, and my experience in checking into this room; hence my rating of 2 out of 5 overall.

6. It's Disney at it's best and we struggled to find proper negatives, just more niggles really.

7. negatives - no spa or health room, we had to walk to the neighboring Grand Floridian to use their hot tub and fitness room - they had no spa either, and won't have until 2013.

10. The Volcano pool was being refurbished during our stay; we learned of this just days before departure, but in the end, we didn't judge it to be a negative.
