1. The box spring on the bed makes creaking and crunching noises every time someone makes the slightest move on the bed, even rolling over.

4. The street view would have been a bit much since it has it has street noises that accompany it, but they had thought ahead and had a sound machine in the room which was great.

8. The hotel is right on the Hana Highway in the centre of town, but traffic pretty much died away at night so we weren't disturbed by the road noise.

9. It could have better noise insulation (we were worken by footsteps from the room upstairs) but it in no way impacted on our stay, the garden side is very peaceful.

10. There are good things and less good (but definitely not bad) things to say about the Paia Inn To get the weak points over first: it's on a main road; we didn't find this a problem as far as noise is concerned, but f you're looking for delightful views from your room, this isn't the place.
