)* We found the hotel to be really
noisy
- thin walls to the rooms and inconsiderate guests shouting along corridors and in outside spaces at 4am* On departure, we'd asked for a cab to be booked to take us to the airport, which was 15 minutes late.

Firstly, on arrival at our designated room, it was right next to the bar and hideously
noisy

Two hours later went to the room and it was a postage stamp size room with a sloped ceiling (that turned out to be a
noisy
staircase above us) with two double beds for our 'romantic weekend'.

In this case however, the hype and mostly good reviews failed to live up to the reality of an older place that is drafty, fairly
noisy
(avoid a courtyard room, especially on weekends) and, to my mind at least, not worth the price.

When I arrived, it was extremely
noisy
in the lobby, with loud music and lots of partying in the bar.

However, I was unable to sleep as there were continual shout-outs from up and down the hall and
noisy
people coming and going until I finally drifted off at 3:00 AM.

The other complaint is that I had room 117 which is a corner room overlooking the street and an abandoned building next door -
noisy
at night and in the early morning.
