1. There is a Whole Foods and several decent places to eat within walking distance, and there is a restaurant in the basement that gets great reviews, but I found to be a little frou frou and expensive for what you got.

2. All of the rooms have merit, but consider booking one level higher than least expensive.

3. The hotel has a restaurant which is moderately expensive and living a bit on its laurels having won a Washington top 100 award in 2007.
"A lot to like, but... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/23/2012 Vote
4. valet was very friendlyCONS: parking is expensive at 30 per night, guestroom starting to look worn out and some of the furniture in our room was torn but the hotel still kept it in the room (example: desk chair), receptionists was not overly friendly, there are steps in the front lobby area so if you`re handcapped, you might have to request someone to lift you up to get to the elevators and reception desk, lobby area is not very large or invitingOVERALL: decent hotel that I would recommend to budget travelers staying 1-4 nights.
