1. Just be aware that the hotel is directly off the highway and not in the best neighborhood in Syracuse (although during a quick drive around town we didn't find any area other than the university in the area that seemed too nice) .

2. It appears that there is ample security at the Hotel and the neighborhood seems to be eerily quiet rather than scary.

4. The neighborhoods nearby are full of empty lots, shady looking businesses, etc., so I'm surprised that the parking area isn't gated at all.

5. When my friend and I (both women) checked in, the front desk clerk greeted us very pleasantly, but advised us not to venture around the neighborhood at night.

6. While I did not venture out in the neighborhood, I still felt safe when arriving and departing throughout my stay.

7. There is free parking offered on-site in the garage but there is no one to monitor the site & I found this to be one drawback since the hotel is on the edge of some sketchy looking neighborhoods.
