3. The lobby is cozy with a fireplace, the cookies they put out at the desk in the afternoons are wonderful, and the front desk staff are the most courteous, friendly, and helpful people we've ever encountered .

6. Consider free underground parking, 24 hour coffee in the lobby, Bodum french press coffee in your room, warm bacon quiche and fresh pastries in the 'continental' breakfast, daily morning newspaper at your door, thermostat in the room that actually worked.

8. We were greeted with around the clock iced tea/lemonade/ice water in the lobby, and hotel staff came by every night to make sure we had enough ice and to drop off chocolates and a note with the weather forecast for the next day.

9. The little touches made all the difference: a french press with refrigerated creamers in the room; strawberry and cucumber waters as well as coffee available in the lobby; and a front desk staff well acquainted with the area's best restaurants and activities.

10. Lots of little amenities that are nice, like the fountain, firepit, fresh evening cookies, deluxe continental breakfast, wonderful cheese plate at happy hour, fresh fruit water midday, fruit all day, newspapers, fireplace in lobby that creates ambiance.
