1. if you came for the Ocean, stay at the Beach Cottages right on the boardwalk, you can see the ocean from your room, you can hear the waves & smell the ocean, it's got great rates & very clean & kid friendly.

I was visiting San Diego with family and had reserved one bayview room at $159 per night, a relatively reasonable rate for the location (other area hotels going for about $170+) Our building and room appeared recently renovated or updated -- the kind of room you would find at a typical Hilton or Sheraton hotel.

9. There rates were great and when we got there everything was included, like parking, internet and they have a great game room for kids that is free.
