1. The bay view was nice, and the nice manager refunded our money and we checked out the next morning.

2. I told the front desk, and their response was, 'Sorry about that, have a nice drive back home' Later an assistant manager said that water front hotels sometimes have vermin, and the best that they could do was give me a refund of $75 (?).

8. I also witnessed them put up with some absolutely boorish behaviour from some (mostly elderly) guests including one who loudly rang her lawyer when the manager would not let her check in without a credit card.
