1. Valet parking is not a bad choice, as it only adds an additional $6 to the parking garage charge of $22.

4. no restaurants/bars within a 5 minute walk - Horton Plaza/Gaslamp is about a 15 minute walk but getting there you need to go through the neighborhood firstAdvice:- Everyone else has said it and I also recommend - get the valet parking - that way you don't have to use the parking garage.

5. Pulling up the first night at the 'main' entrance, I had valet running to the car to help but when I told them I wasn't valet parking, they backed away, didn't offer a cart or a hand to unload the car.

9. Any hope I had of saving money was dashed when I realized that valet parking is $30 a day, Internet access $10 a day, the location required a cab to and from the Convention Center (I walked several times, but was usually carting lots of work-related materials, so I couldn't).
