1. I was impressed at San Diego's clean, near litter free streets, and only saw 2, maybe 3, homeless individuals.

There was also a discount grocery store on or just after 7th street on Broadway - we purchased lots of microwaveable soup bowls from there - made quick and easy snacks or meals - we also found our cheap cutlery and a few plastic containers to store left overs in - this place is great, but be aware that there are a few undesireables that hang out around it - maybe go there during the day.

10. We recommend trying to find street parking nearby in the evening during the weekend and particularly if you`re staying on a Saturday night, because you can then park all day Sunday in most spots south of the hotel.
