7. I tried to recoup the rate for the night we weren't staying at the hotel as I prepaid for the room using Expedia but the gentleman at the front desk said he couldn't do that but gave me the business card of their front office manager to contact.

10. You will get someone at the front desk (supervisor/assistant manager), and tell them the price you found and offer them the chance to "beat the price.
