1. There is a parking lot on every 4th corner, but since so few people use that parking they allow homeless people tent cities to flourish and then they charge outrageous prices for those unfortunate suckers (like myself) who require overnight parking and convenience.
"Decent location, cool concept, worn out " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/30/2011 Vote
2. A bit steep but it is a crowded downtown area and there didn't look to be much secure free parking near by so we paid it, our SUV survived with no new scars which was relief.

3. You have to pay for parking everywhere.

6. There is only valet parking which though comparable with other hotels in the area it drives me nuts to pay over $30 to park.

7. There was no were else in the area to park so you were forced to pay it, and the parking was more then half the price of what we paid for our room.

8. We prefer to do our own parking, and looking after our own luggage, but being a busy street downtown, this is not possible at this location.

9. Be it the amazing employees: such as the valet staff who open the doors for you if you are parking with them or not, the front desk staff who will spend 15 minutes going through every restaurant within 2 miles, and the room service staff who are always kind and accommodating; or the small touches: such as the towels neatly rolled and placed in every piece of workout equipment, rewarding guests with 250 bonus points for foregoing room cleaning, and the expansive rooms, the Gaslamp Marriott is a wonderful hotel.
"All in the details " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/12/2011 Vote
10. Also, paying $30 a day for parking in San Diego is absurd.
