7. We were within walking distance of the Convention Center, the Alamo and we only had to go down the escalator to step outside and onto the famous Riverwalk and the River Center Mall.

10. You can catch the river taxi and cruise right there; there are some excellent restaurants in the mall, and you are within walking distance of The Alamo, San Fernando Cathedral, and the Spanish Governor's Palace.
