1. There is a noticeable fee but for the aggravation of saving a few bucks down the street, you're better off having these guys take care of you.

5. We usually stay at one of the big 25+ story hotels near Commerce street but we decided to stay at the Valencia this time since we were without the kids.

6. Houston street is not so dynamic, you will find it practically empty during most parts of the day, but still some great dinning and wining choices exist across it, mainly Bohanan's steakhouse and Le Midi (nice choice of wines).

7. This hotel is in a great spot on the river walk and close enough to fun hot spots on the street level.

8. One tip is to park around the corner and down the street on College Avenue and save a good $20 a day.

9. If you do not have a car the best way to go around town is to buy a $4.00 unlimited daily ticket for the street cars and regular buses.
