1. The location is ideal, just a block or so away from NC State and convenient to downtown Raleigh; there's plenty of parking, and lots of restaurants and shops just a few minutes away.

2. The last time I stayed at this old but freshly painted Holiday Inn Brownstone Raleigh (downtown is one mile away, Cameron Shopping Village is three blocks) there was a refreshing outdoor swimming pool.
