I looked at the Jupiter and was intrigued by the Doug Fir music club on premise, but when I realized I could just walk over the Burnside bridge to
downtown
and the free transit zone, I went for it.

The location is also a big plus with its proximity to many great bars & restaurants (dives & fancy alike), and it's close to
downtown
but not in it.

Had we not had a car it also would have been frustrating being so far out of
downtown
, although there are some vintage clothing stores worth checking out within easy walking distance.

After a long but amazing day exploring Portland, my boyfriend and I stopped in to the Doug Fir for a drink, finding a hotel attached, we decided to stay here instead of driving
downtown
for a room.
