However, rather than just giving us the standard 'sorry, we're fully booked' the staff at this hotel made every effort to try to accommodate us, going away to speak to managers etc. We went from feeling resigned to having to look elsewhere, to happy relief when we were offered the hospitality suite on the 7th floor .

10. the letter in the room form the manager makes it sound as if the resort was founded by a transportation company that took boats and plans to the South Pacific Islands in the 50's (back when air travel was actually elegant!) I think this is all actually a fictional backstory (complete with a plane in the lagoon), but the note is signed by the real contemporary manager (I think.
