We didn't use the 'resort' amenities much (other than the swimming pool) but the front desk staff were superb - service was pretty much instant when we needed things in the apartment (a corkscrew because the one we had was broken; wash cloths when housekeeping had forgotten to leave these with the new towels) and very helpful when we wanted advice (from where to eat out for breakfast to where to find a playground/park to take the children, to getting stamps for postcards).
