Especially Mike the doorman, who once resided in my hometown of Summerville, SC; Marvin the bartender, who was patient in describing various drinks to me and made a fantastic Sazerac, Sidecar and Bloody Mary (we were there for 3 nights); Herbert Johnson and Lottie Irvin from the garage who were both so very pleasant to deal with; the maids who did a great job maintaining our room; and finally the ladies who were so wonderful to us each morning we went down to breakfast.

6. We only spent two nights, so following the first night, by around 4pm, housekeeping had not come, so my husband tracked down a maid and asked to have our room cleaned.

7. Also, my private room was left open by the maid (number 934) when the deadbolt was left extended, so upon returning to my room in the afternoon, I discovered that anyone could have walked in and helped themselves to my belongings.

9. A person attending the wedding had a large amount of money stolen out of their suitcase by the maids so be sure to lock up your valuables.
