5. This was the first time I've stayed in a 'short sheet' establishment: a hotel that doesn't use fitted sheets, but takes a top sheet and places it sideways on the mattress - thus leaving the bottom foot of the mattress pad uncovered.

6. One minimum expectation of a hotel, I should think, is that the sheets should fit the bed.

8. The room we had was nice in that it had the obvious historical touches of a former warehouse/factory, but the amenities were few and the sheets and beds were nothing special to speak of.

10. Coming back to the room I didn't even mind the mice I saw running down the hallway but the worst thing was the 40 year old bed and sheets.
