2. the marken, coffee shop, restaurants, shopping etc. The owner Frank is a wonderful man with an amazing heart, his staff are like family to him he states and I can see why, they are like family and make everyone who walks through that beautiful door feel at home.

3. A couple of things on my wish list would be with a coffee maker in the rooms or at least a free coffee urn in the restaurant downstairs.

4. Located in the quiet section of the French Quarter, I was within easy walking distance of delicious bakeries, great restaurants, art galleries and shopping.

5. The salt-water pool is an oasis of tropical pleasure and as the charming, octogenarian owner says, the lack of chlorine prevents damage to 'the ladies hair-does!' My room was clean, comfortable, and the little refrigerator was great for storing drinks and leftovers from the great restaurants.

6. At the 'locals' end of the French Quarter, a stone's throw from the French Market, the music clubs of Frenchman Street, and excellent restaurants, Le Richelieu is also a few minutes walk to all the popular 'must-see' sites such as Jackson Square, Canal Street, and the 'mighty Mississippi.

10. Only 3 blocks from Frenchman street which has some great restaurants and live music clubs if you're not really into the craziness of Bourbon Street.
