We would call the front desk and nobody would answer, because the desk

would be helping out the maid.

Back home we called and spoke to the
manager
who seemed sincere enough in his apologies and he said the best he could do since we 'booked online' was to give us free vouchers for our next stay there.

Instead, I had to contact them and the chief finance handler (
manager
) who I spoke to, was in a hysterical mood and joking around with her employees over the phone.
