1. If you just want to enjoy the downtown Detroit area I would recommend this a place to stay because the climate and atmosphere is great and can be enjoyed by everyone.

8. We were within walking distance to Ford Field to watch the Lions or around 30 min walk downtown to see the Redwings or Tigers - I would only recommend walking during daylight hours as the area around the hotel is rather isolated and a return night walk could be interesting.
