1. We left the car there and used the public transportation and had no problems with 'unsecured' parking.

2. But I do have a complaint about the upscale hotels like this: Why is that smaller, less pretentious chains - Choice Hotels, La Quinta Inns etc - can offer free parking and internet etc and places like this charge for everything.

5. There's two options: self-park, which costs you about $24 a night or Valet parking which costs a little more but gives you a better parking location.
