1. I asked the concierge and he went and pulled one from the back and gave it to me, free of charge.

2. But I do have a complaint about the upscale hotels like this: Why is that smaller, less pretentious chains - Choice Hotels, La Quinta Inns etc - can offer free parking and internet etc and places like this charge for everything.

3. The concierge (Aiden or Adrian, I can't remember) was fantastic and the spread of food and drinks available from 7 am to 9 pm is gourmet quality and is worth the up charge from a standard room.

4. For parking, they charge you $24 which I feel is a bit too high.

Costs: $89 for the room, $9 for internet service (free wi-fi in the lobby lounge area), $20 for garage parking (well worthth charge), and $16 for breakfast in the restaurant (didn't try it beacause of the great breakfast diner 5 minutes up the street (upgrade to the business plan for $10 and get your breakfast free, bottled water, newspaper delivery, etc. - well worth the charge.

6. Otherwise go to a lower grade place that doesn't have the technology to block tv inputs and charge for wi-fi.

7. Anyway, they ended up finding us a room that was exactly what we had wanted, and I later realized when paying my credit card bill that they did not charge us for the valet parking we had used.
