2. There IS free parking immediately on the west side of the hotel, but there are only about 20 spots; I was quite lucky to get one.

5. As with most of Boston, it is probably hopeless to try to park for free overnight, but there is 2-hour free parking nearby, *past* the hotel, after you go under the bridge, near a park.

9. We tried to snag a free parking spot by the bridge, but they were taken so we parked right next to the hotel and paid the $20 fee, which considering what we paid for the hotel, was fine.
