1. As of May 2012, closest big hotel is about 3-4 blocks away (normal city size blocks, not LV blocks), so not a great idea to walk at night, but I'm very cautious.

2. We could have walked to Walgreens if needed, Strip also close, but only if you like to walk, otherwise drive.
3. Vegas sites are within walking distance, at a decent pace: 6 minutes to the strip, 10 minutes to Encore, 15 minutes to Wynn/Fashion Mall, 20 minutes to Venetian/Treasure Island, 25 minutes to Mirage, 30-35 minutes to Caesars/Bellagio/Flamingo.
4. it's quiet, 15mins walk from Encore, 25mins from Venetian, so you can do a lot of walking if you wish.
5. An easy walk to and from the Convention center, as well as older parts of the strip where there are plenty of places to eat.
6. It is within walking distance of the strip, has free parking, free wifi, and a good breakfast for $5.55.
7. Our room was spacious and, although the amenities were very basic, the cost and convenient location within walking distance to the convention center, made it worth the stay.
8. The greek Isle is a small quiet hotel/casino within walking distance to the strip, the service was good and the staff friendly, they even gave us tickets for there show, Frankie & Sherry, which was good.
9. Short walk from car, to counter to room, so good if you have to travel with seniors - my parents would be able to handle this place.
10. You can walk to LVCC in less than 5 mins, and in the same amount of time you would be on the Strip, albeit at the north end of it.
