1. Folks need to realize there is a huge cost associated with moving walls & plumbing, and considering the average room here is probably about $50-$60 mid week, & maybe $100-$120 on weekends, I am thinking the return on investment wasn't probably going to be enough to endure the extra expense.

2. No fridge in our room (I think it cost an extra $20/day), mattresses were firm and comfortable, but the sheets were well, kind of odd.

3. It all makes me wonder why the new carpet and felt in the casino cost as much money as they say they have put into this renovation, because that seems to be the only 'new' part of the place.

4. One entree will feed two people easily, but even if you split an entree, it'll cost about $25 not including tip to feed two people (when you add in juice or coffee), which is expensive morning eating for DT Vegas.

5. The only down side was that there are NO ice machines in the building and it cost $20 a day to rent a mini fridge.

9. - has a decent casino, but it's not as busy or classy as on the strip- Accessible via hour long shuttle ride from the airport for $9- Contemporary furnishings with flat screen tv- Non-smoking rooms (but there were obvious smokers on the floor)- Valet car service- Small fishbowl fitness room with ellipticals and treadmillsCons- Off the strip- Surrounding area in metropolitan area not as safe and upscale- $50 deposit upon arrival despite prepayment for one day upon making reservation- $30+ cab fare from hotel to airport (hotel staff didn't know cost when I asked)- Hotel doesn't cue cab; have to walk to corner along right side entrance of hotel to taxi stand- $20+ cab ride to center of the strip e.
