2. We frequented the 9 Fine Irish Men bar at the New York New York and one night ate at the Mad Onion at the Hooters Casino, which is an okay place for an inexpensive meal.

3. Not glitzy, but they had cheap tables and it felt more like gambling at a bar vs a big casino.

4. It was nice that there was no casino and it is only a small resort, the free happy hour was a bonus, it would have been nice to have a bar aswell.

Just got back from a fab 2 wks at the Desert Rose Resort,i'll keep it short & sweet,great location just behind the Tropicana & Hooters,5 mins walk from the Strip,nice pool opens at 8am & if you want a bed with an umberella get there early,some days are busier than others,the breakfast is basic,cereral,toast abit of fruit,just needs abit more,egg bacon beans & sausages ;-) that would be ideal,free drinks at set times but free Starbucks all day,lovely staff,thinking of going back next yr & would stay at the Desert Rose again,as for VEGAS, FANTASTIC,been 3 times now & still love it,loads to do,good shopping,2 outlet malls each end of the strip & not far from the Luxor is the Town Center,full of empty shops Including all your favs like A&F & nice bars & resturants.

6. It has a 24 hour Starbucks coffee bar, the more than adequate continental breakfast, complimentary beverage and snacks at close of day during the week, free wireless internet connection and a very attentive professional staff.

7. On weeknight evenings (mon-Fri I think) the hotel offered a happy hour between 5-7 where they had a free bar offering complimentary beer, wines and soft drinks and snacks.

Didn't really attend many of the managers free drinks as usually not around at these times (free drinks and snacks Monday -Friday 5pm-7pm) but it would have been nice to have a bar within the hotel for a quiet drink before bed, but a short car journey down Tropicana ave takes you to Vans supermarket where we discovered some lovely Califorian wines to drink in our room.
