1. The staff can't do enough for you - they bring around ice water regularly, and little complimentary treats like small cups of frozen grapes or small oreo frappes - yum.

4. Come on guys, for $250++ a night you can't even throw in complimentary coffee in the rooms, Internet access or parking.

All the amenities and service were top-notch, but a couple of examples we particularly appreciated are the complimentary New York Times that appeared at our door early each morning, and the (also complimentary) espresso machine opposite the front desk (only before 9 AM though--best to rise early).

7. I'm sure that this should not be seen as a complete negative, but he explained to me the distance and the directions for obtaining a taxi AND gave me the option to ask the valet to drive us using their complimentary shuttle service.

8. After we returned home, I emailed the manager with a question about a charge on our bill that I missed at check out and to thank her for the complimentary spa treatments and was very surprised to get an email back stating that our entire stay had been comped.

9. The staff there is wonderful - taking drink and food orders, coming around with complimentary ice waters, and setting up the comfy chaise lounges with clean terry covers and fresh towels.
