1. If you are looking for an ideally located, clean hotel that offers extremely reasonable rates, I recommend this Hampton Inn.

2. There are many cheap and/or nice places to eat in Austin, I would recommend the Shady Grove on Barton Springs road for a great frozen Margarita and Tex-Mex.

3. We walked to Zilker Park, which was a hike, so I would recommend taking the bus on Congress ave right before crossing the river.

6. As long as you don't run into any issues like what we experienced, this hotel was fine and we'd recommend if this hadn't happened to us - just be sure to build a barricade against the door.

We are in our late 20s and found that 6th Street got a bit too wild for us after the live music ended around 10:30 pm (I would compare it to Vegas or Mardis Gras), so after we saw a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (which I recommend doing) we headed back to the hotel at 1 am completely exhausted.
