2. This was one of the cheaper hotels we found when booking our trip to New York, it was in a good location with the subway only a few blocks away and a nice little cafe/bar just down the road where many NY students used the Internet, this was recommended to me by the nice man on the door who always said hello and was very helpful, he was a greek looking chap.

3. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance and a 10-15 minute subway ride to get anywhere in Manhattan.

4. The desk staff were incredibly friendly, despite of me arriving very late at night, the nice lady at the front desk was more than helpful and gave me a map with the subway lines on it and showed me where some good resturants and bars were located.

8. On the corner is a nice deli with nice folks, and if you walk up to the 100s and Broadway, you can find plenty of good restaurants and a cute dive bar called Tap of the Keg.
"With a little more TLC, can be a real hidden gem hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/27/2010 Vote
9. The hotel is located almost at the northern end of Central Park, right below Harlem, the neighbourhood was nice and there are several 24 hour shops, bars and places to eat within 1 block (my recommendation is 110th street West, where there is a fantastic soul food place).
