1. I totally expected to pay what we did (and actually, we got a pretty good deal when we booked at $800 for 4 nights / 5 days), because I know Disneyland and the surrounding area is going to be inflated, just because of what it is.

2. I haunt the Disney website for the best deals, I saved over $200 per night by checking frequently and requesting a revised room rate.

5. We got a great deal for a stay at the Paradise Pier over MLK weekend and so after many years of staying at other hotels surrounding the resort, we decided to stay at a Disney property.

7. Even at its cheapest (we got in on a 30% off deal at $175/night), this hotel is still a bit pricey compared to other non-Disney hotels in the immediate vicinity, but it's significantly cheaper than the other two Disney options, if you want to have a sprinkle of 'magic' with your stay.

8. We typically stay at the Embassy Suites South property, but got a good deal through Disney for free dining when staying on property - so we decided to try it.
"If this wasn't on Disney Property, I wouldn't stay here again. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/12/2011 Vote
9. Overall the only reason I'd stay here again is if we got the kind of deal we got this time (free dining if you stayed on property).

10. I got a good deal with my annual pass ($174 per night, for Friday and Saturday nights), and it could've been around $150 if I had stayed during the week.
