2. Would suggest staying in the comfort inn on lombard street, and budget place and 20min walk to seafront and maybe 30mins to the main pier but cheaper and you get breakfast.

3. Breakfast is best had at Bourdin Bakery just 2 minutes from the hotel and not too expensive which can't be said for the rest of the restuarants on the Wharf but most that we tried where of good quality so we didn't mind.

6. Everything is so conveniently placed - grocery store doing breakfasts and Subway across the street, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 for Alcatraz just minutes walk away, as are the cable cars.

8. There is a 7-11 right across the street so if you need a quick breakfast before heading back to the airport or late night snacks, they are open 24-7.
