4. There are a few homeless guys around, and it's better not to go too far down on Geary street, but the hotel itself is still in a safe area.

5. I only encountered a couple of homeless people near the hotel most seemed to be on Powell Street and were no problem at all.

6. It's right on the edge of a rundown section of town (Tenderloin) but the street charm is great and the main streets (Geary and Jones) are bustling all the time.

7. Since I was on the side I heard no street noise even with my window wide open, except for sirens, which you could probably hear even with your windows shut.

10. Geary Street on the left of the hotel (after a block) is nice, there are many restaurants and shops.
