1. It's in the Tenderloin, which isn't for everyone, but it's near the Great American Music Hall, great Vietnamese restaurants & Polk Street.

9. True, the surrounding area is not a place where you would want to walk the streets after dark, but the hotel was very safe with good security inside the gates.

10. We passed some homeless people drinking in the street a few blocks from the hotel, but we just told the kids to stick close and we walked a little faster.
