1. Each night the hotel had a complimentary wine/cheese reception which we fantastic - for us travelling from Australia it gave us the opportunity to try different californian wines which and to enjoy lots of the home cooked delicious treats which tied us over until dinner time.

Breakfast (included in price) had a good selection of pastry, cereal, toast, etc, and the hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evenings were nice too, and substantial enough that if you don't feel like going out for dinner you can get by, if you don't mind listening to the same playlist of Parisian music every day.

10. Finally we moved to a room on the top floor (#56) which was much more quite (but you could hear very well every time someone opened the faucet in the next room or just left an alarm clock and wend out for dinner.
