1. The Hotel Lobby has history and charm, with a elegant chandelier, grand piano, glamorous carved wood ceiling and intriguing artwork.

2. One very minor glitch was that our room was not ready at 3:00 which is the check-in time, but we waited in the very comfortable lobby for about 30 minutes where they have tea available; there was supposed to be sherry but I didn't see that.

8. We would definitely stay at KP again because it was excellent value for downtown SF, and an absolute delight to return to every evening, One day we arrived back early just so we could enjoy afternoon sherry in the gorgeous lobby.
