1. The Muni (subway & trains) cost $2 per trip except the cable cars which are $6 per trip.

Only two things to be aware of - hotel windows are single pane, thus a bit noisy in the morning (at least for rooms towards the front with the street) and of course parking a car in the center of SF, well costs a fortune (minimum $25 a night), as parking spots at the curbside are extremely rare to find.

7. Actually, I live outside of New York City and I can safely say that it costs us more money for a room half the size of the Kensington's rooms when we are back home.
