1. A generator humming, sirens, screaming out on the street but the bed was half way decent so I was able to sleep.

3. My husband an I spent a week last March while I was attending a conference and it was a great retreat to get back to after all our walks to Chinatown (walking distance), Lombard Street and we even walked to take the Ferry to Alcatraz.

4. A plus that the new Children's Museum was right down the street from the hotel.

5. Parking rates here are as exorbitant as at the Mark Hopkins, but here there is a parking lot across the street which is much cheaper, but it has no in and out possibilities at night.
