1. In a town where you pay through the nose for lodging, its nice to have a place like the New Yorker (well located near transit and good value) to fall back on.

3. The gift shop in the basement was extremely good value for money if you needed to buy souvenirs, and the Tick Tock diner - accessible through the Hotel lobby - was atmospheric if a little on the pricey side.

5. The excellent Tick Tock Diner (see seperate review) and Coopers Tavern, both accessed from the lobby are excellent and reasonable value making life easier, especially for breakfast, or a quick drink after a long days sightseeing.

7. the tick tock diner inside the hotel did lovely food, we ate there a few times, and very polite staff and good value for money alot cheaper than some places.
