1. In retrospect I could have stayed at other Marriott brands (Courtyard, Fairfield) right across the street and had more value, like free internet in the room.

4. The hotel location is very good, but the streets outside are more restful and quiet.

5. There is a huge supermarket called Dominicks just down Illinois street (to Navy Pier) it has a huge cold/hot food selection and a massive wine selection at very reasonable prices.

6. Ordered room service twice (just wine, the menu left MUCH to be desired- but don't fret, there are tons of restaurants around, including one very, very good sushi joint down the street) and the workers are so friendly and talkative - definitely what I like being from the mid-west.

8. Doesn't look like a Marriot on the outside, but once you get in is a great-looking hotel in the middle of the Magnificent Mile, 2 streets away from the Grand subway station.

9. Back or front of hotel, depending on which way you look at it, falls onto Rush Street and numerous reasonably priced restaurants and a lot of variety.

10. We`d heard from a local that Giordino`s on Rush Street was a great place, and I have to say that was the best pizza I`ve ever had.
