1. I figured it for some kind of bedbug containment device, because I really don't know why else a hotel would put such an incredibly uncomfortable thing on a bed when clean sheets and mattress pads would normally be hygienic enough.

3. Oh my god they were disturbing, the bed sheets were litered with brown stains of I don't know what.
