1. When I checked in with my 6-foot, 19-year-old son for a weekend visit, I was impressed at how the front desk personnel volunteered to upgrade us gratis to a larger room.

9. - excellent location in midtown Manhattan- small, dark entrance hall and corridors, no special charm- middle-sized room, stylish and fancy interior, quality materials- excellent beds- puristic bathroom- window to the next house wall, dark (my room)- free wifi, water- no full breakfast in the entrance hall- attentive door man and room service- poor front desk service- fair value for prize.
