1. My acquaintances stayed at the Sheraton at Times Square, and they complained that they didn't really get the NYC experience because they were constantly surrounded by fast food restaurants and chain stores.

3. Manhattan is not a cheap place to sleep - Hotel 17 continues to provide a good value choice so you can save the dollars for some good food and shopping .
