2. Handy dinner for cheap meals or plenty of pubs/ bars on near by 3rd ave (Mollys bar fantasic food) close to subway and 20 / 30 walk to empire state building Macy etc..

3. This gives you access to great bars, restaurants, shops and culture in Gramercy, East Village, Little Italy, Chinatown, soHo, Chelsea, Tribeca, Financial District and even Brooklyn.

4. I also recommend Gramercy Park Cafe just nearby where you'll get the best eggs, and Bar Jamon for spanish tapas.

5. I can also recommend a trip to Pure bar and restaurant just around the corner for a unique but delicious raw food experience!(and some great wine.

6. firm beds,no bed bugs,clean,ice bucket?well you have $$ left after the cheap rates!quirky elevator,even tho i got stuck in it once at 3am(blame the east village bars)clean hallways,friendly staff,there used to be some resident on the upper floors,one had a lovely small dog who would greet you,in the hallway,nice dude,the location is great,close to the'L' subway 2 stops to brooklyn,union squre is 5 mins walk away,styvesant square is a lovely small park,mumbles on the corner,nice eatery,local bars,great nightlife in the east village,the l.

10. I`d definitely recommend it to anyone travelling on a budget, and the position is great with a good diner and bar nearby (Gramercy Diner and Still bar), and only a couple blocks from Union Square station.
