1. Our room was on the 21st floor with a view of rooftops and below us was an alley - which actually made the room more quiet being away from the street noise.

2. Location is perfect on East 50th Street between Lexington and 3rd, and be sure to visit the penthouse bar for excellent cocktails, and small tapas plates of food (quite a welcome relief from the usual huge portion sizes!).

3. As far as the luncheonette down the street, it was a good place until a cockroach casually walked up the wall and joined me for breakfast one morning -- I immediately stood up and left.

I tend to go to New York on business frequently and stay in the same area (ie Lexington and 51st Street) so have stayed at all the main hotels in the area (Marriott, W, Waldorf, Doubletree Hilton Metroploitan, Hyatt, Intercontinental) and have to say the Kimberly was the best value I have had - the suite had a separate lounge area, microwave and well equiped bathroom.
