The location was ideal for my trip - not much to do, but plenty in the way of
food
selection.

The lobby area had
food
for sale at slightly marked up but still reasonable prices.

they encourage you to buy
food
from their snack bar, including microwave meals but no microwave in the room or even a kettle.

It's especially great for a short trip because it offers round-the-clock service, express
food
and sundries, a nice bar/lounge, a 24 hour gym (which is pretty well appointed for such a small hotel!) and even a lap pool.

The downside is there is a charge for coffee from the front lobby and the
food
is marginal at best.

the plusses - a nice gym, cool bar, snack
food
and sandwiches available all day, easy road access, delightful staff, good products within the rooms and a price that cannot be beaten for the amenities.

Overall, I'd probably return for pleasure when I can get out and enjoy the Houston
food
scene.

Food
options are VERY limited, and I was working really long hours that didn't allow me to leave my room to go find a restaurant at night.

Not for business, when I'm stuck at the hotel working and can't search for

Cons: breakfast
food
sucks and is expensive ($1 per banana); no near-by breakfast places; in-room coffee sucks -- a joke really; those working the front desk will stare a hole in the floor to avoid making eye contact or having to speak to you; you could get an appointment with Obama before you can talk to local management -- either not present or screen you out (don't you love discussing your complex issue with a 19-year old?); weekend noise inside and outside of the hotel is terrible.
